Borshch Sticker Pack
This sticker pack features the deconstructed illustration by Ukrainian artist Albina Kolesnichenko highlighting some of the ingredients of borshch: beetroot, potato, carrot, tomato, and garlic.
Borshch is a staple of Ukrainian cuisine, and has been for at least 1,200 years. In 2019, the official Twitter account for Russia’s Foreign Affairs Ministry tried to claim the beetroot stew as their own.
In response, Ukrainian chef, restaurateur, cookbook author, and social activist Yevgen Klopotenko set out to document the importance of borsch across Ukrainian culture for the next year and a half, and ultimately, borshch being named by UNESCO as part of Ukraine’s Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding in July 2022.
